PATTERN COLLECTION

This is a pattern collection that I design in a vector illustration class. The goal of this project was to create three complementary themed patterns using a hero, secondary, and blender. I pushed my attention to detail skills during this project to create accurate shapes that represent outlines of architecture and design from the Victorian era.

These images are inspiration pictures for this pattern collection taken from the beach town of Cape May, New Jersey. This town is preserved to have architecture from the Victorian era.

This color palette is derived from the actual Victorian houses in Cape May. Hues and saturations are changed to provide cohesiveness of pastel tones throughout the pattern.

This is the initial construction of the Victorian house elements in Adobe Illustrator for the pattern. Elements of the design are created using lines and shapes to create windows, railings, and archways deriving from inspiration from houses in Cape May.

This is the construction of the houses with color added to it. The color palette has cohesive hues and the construction of each house has similar architecture to create a repeating pattern.

These are mockups I created to showcase the pattern collection on different types of fabrics in a real-life application.

Thank you for viewing my project!
